A Valve That Provides Emergency Shut-Off Protection
The Emergency Shut-Off Valve or “Shear Valve” mounts on the supply line within the pedestal base of a fuel dispenser. The valve is equipped with a shear groove and a 165ºF fusible line hold-open device. In the event of a fire or sudden impact or dislocation of the dispenser, the valve, if properly installed, is designed to immediately shut-off the flow of product.
